View out over Adré refugee camp in Eastern Chad. Those who have a cart and a donkey offer transportation services for a few hundred Sudanese pounds (tenths of a dollar) during the monthly food distribution run by the World Food Programme (WFP). The camp, home to 300.000 Sudanese refugees escaping violence and famine-like conditions in Darfur, is not equipped with sanitation systems nor tuition-free educational programs. International NGOs struggle to offer more than basic emergency assistance. They attempt to relocate as many refugees as possible to far more inland newly built camps in more secure territories. However, as the influx of newcomers doesn't stop, Adré population continues to grow.
